1 year Anniversary Trip

For our 1 year anniversary, we decided to take a trip to Niagara Falls (AMAZING) and tour around the wine country (and backcountry) of New York. While the trip was cut short by a death in the family, the few days we had were full of incredible fun, sights and eats.

Here are some of my favorite moments.Image

Here we are at Niagara Falls. You guys, it was so beautiful and breathtaking. It’s hard to describe the majesty of the Falls without seeing it. I could just look and watch for hours and hours and never grow bored and never cease to be amazed. God’s workmanship is spectacular.

Of course we rode Maid of the Mist! It was great! We got the best spot in the house, right where Jim and Pam stood when they got married. Once we got closer to the Falls, it was hard to keep your eyes open and look at what was happening around you, the spray from the falls was like being in a torrential downpour, we were drenched! If you go, you’ve got to do this.Image

After we spent the night in Seneca Falls, we drove to Ithaca and stayed there for a day. We went hiking at a nearby preserve and we got our hikes worth, that’s for sure 🙂 This is a picture of my husband inside an old tree stump. Because when there’s an old tree stump, you have to take a picture in it.

(For some reason, WordPress won’t let me put any more pictures in here, but we took some great ones all through our trip! You can see all of them on my Facebook page.)

Despite the trip being cut short, and not at all what I expected it to be, it was still good to get away for a few days. And it was great to get to see and do the things that we did. It was very “us” and we both took away some great memories.
